When moments of gripping heartache overtake your entire life and it feels like everything is coming to an end- IT IS! That’s the good and the bad news. Dig deep in the mines of your life, gather your strength, dignity and grace to pull yourself above the circumstances surrounding you.
The harsh reality is that life as you’ve known it, is suddenly shattered, and it could be the worst thing that ever happened to you, or the best and most likely, both. The rugged truth of the situation is that you’ve got your work cut out for you. Either way, it’s your choice to create from within and no one else can choose for you.
Yes, Divorce is unfortunate, painful and heartbreaking, especially if you’re someone who values marriage. The broken-open opportunity is to look at your “Expectation Hangover, “ as Christine Hassler defines, “A group of undesirable feelings that arise when a desired result isn’t met.” When your road has led you to shake hands with something new- take a firm grasp and know that resilience awaits you. It’s tough to be the stability for your children (if you have them), grieve, heal yourself physically, spiritually, financially, and emotionally- all at the same time. It’s insurmountable. There are times you want to end it all, but Don’t.
In those moments, you are in the rough and heated terrain of the diamond mines. Henry Kissinger said, “A diamond is a chunk of coal that is made good under pressure.” Contrary to how it feels- those dark, dank and hard to breathe moments are giving you direction for where you need to focus your attention and do your inner work. At some point you will emerge above ground as a reinvented, priceless artifact- sparkling and vibrant. You have the power and you CAN do this.
As always, Ignite your light and let it shine bright.
From My Heart to Yours,
Kris
